Few things really get our Picker candle lit (pun intended), but Hocus Pocus, 90's Halloween nostalgia ...that'll do it! THAT'LL DO IT.
Maybe it's the fact that most of us vendors have toddler/school age kiddos, or we just really love reliving our favorite childhood memories, but Halloween projects are truly our favorite. When we started brainstorming with Gio from Olive & Grace about our annual Halloween shoot, we just knew it had to be a classic play on Hocus Pocus. Especially with the long-anticipated sequel being released this month. Yes, we're counting down - don't act like you aren't too!
The vibe had to be a traditional Salem feel, but also kid friendly - que the rad colored balloons. As vendors, we've seen all of the bright and colorful parties, but we wanted to give an elevated feel to a customarily playful theme. The mix of woods, primitive pieces and the most beautiful front porch (that dreams are actually made of) with kid friendly additions (balloons, bounce house, root beer float bar ...CANDY!) really nailed this one. We really wanted it to feel like children were playing in the Witches den - and it did!
While we love a good modern or boho vibe, our roots run deep in vintage charm & you just can't ignore a good antique piece. In order to capture that true East Coast, Salem feel we knew we had to incorporate our favorite vintage furniture and all of the textures. But, we couldn't leave out our newest Homestead table, because - HAVE YOU SEEN THEM?! If not, now you have!
